Snow Forts

The boys and I built snow forts while Jeff was clearing the drieway in our blizzard.
here is Isaac's fort.

here is Declan's fort. These forts are right off the front porch. The wind was way too strong out in the yard where Asha was running through the huge drifts. I bet they will be totally filled in with snow in the morning the way the wind is howling. Oh well, they had fun in the snow!

Isaac hockey scrimmage

Isaac's team scrimmaged the blue team during the period break of the High School game. His team won 3-2 and he scored 2 of the goals!! Here is is scoring one of his goals!
Isaac getting ready to play the face-off. He had so much fun in the game!

Gingerbread House

The boys stayed overnight at Grandma and Grandpa from the farm's house and made a Gingerbread house with Grandma. It is amazing to see how they have grown in a years time of making the house. Last year it was just a mess of candy and now this year, they really organized the candy. They were so proud of the house and ate lots of candy off it after I took these pictures.

Christmas Day 2010

Isaac, Justin, Declan, and Jason. the 4 cousins

the boys by our Christmas tree and Isaac's new dog that Santa brought him.

Isaac was very excited about his dog and new hockey stick from Santa.

Santa brought Declan a cell phone and he is texting his buddies on it in this picture. He has been begging for a cell phone for months and it has not left his hand or pocket since he got it.

Christmas Eve 2010

Boys by Grandma and Grandpa from the Lake's Christmas tree
The kids love to go sledding at Grandma and Grandpa's house on Christmas eve. This year the kids built a ramp to sled over. Here is Isaac going over ramp and our crazy dog, Asha chasing him down the hill. She sure loves the snow!!

Declan just getting to the ramp.

Isaac looks like he is loving this jump! And of course, so is Asha.

Declan going over the ramp.

Orchestra

Declan tried playing the 1/2 Cello for 4th grade orchestra. We agreed he would try it for the 3 month trial and he could decide after the concert if he wanted to continue playing. He really enjoyed it in the beginning and then began to really dislike it. He loves music, but found this boring. I am glad we got a couple pictures and a video of his one and only concert. Maybe he will try band in 5th grade.

The Hunter

This Barred Owl was in our big oak tree off our back deck. Jeff and I, the kids, and the dogs were all in the patio doors watching him and he didn't care. We was there for about 4 days in a row and we haven't seen him since. We either don't have his food near our house or we just have missed him. It was so cool to see him so close though.

'99 Metro Grizzly's hockey team CHAMPIONS

Declan was invited to play on the 1999 Metro Grizzly's hockey team this weekend. Since he was born in 2001, this was a huge thing for him to be invited. I was very nervous because he was the youngest kid on the team, but he played really well. He was able to hold his own and keep up with the kids. He scored a goal in the game Friday and a goal on Saturday. His team won all 3 games to make it to the championship game on Sunday. THEY WON with a score of 3-1. We are so proud of Declan!

These pictures are all from Sunday's game.

Declan was in the penalty box for a tripping penalty.

This was a great shot, but the goalie saved it.

There are 7 kids from Fergus on this team and the rest are from Fargo, ND. Declan is in the middle row with the blue shirt under his jersey.

Our Champion!

Isaac was proud of his brother. I think he may have even enjoyed watching his brother's games this weekend. They were really fun games to watch.

All the kids on the team got this shirt for winning.
