The kids have been wanting to go and pick strawberries since we saw they were ready. We have been so busy that we haven't had time to go out there. Yesterday, Monday, I made sure we had time to get some strawberries. It was HOT, muggy, and a bit buggy, but we got 3 buckets full. The kids did really good and filled their buckets half full themselves.

They are proud of what they picked and they should be. Next time, I will be more specific about picking the bright red ones and not the dark red over ripe ones. Who knew???
