Another Vacation

We were home for about a day and a half from Illinois and left after Big Friday for a weekend trip. We planned it that way basically because we are crazy. We took the kids up to Duluth, MN to see some replicas of old war ships that were in the harbor for only last weekend. This is a picture of the 4 of us at Gooseberry Falls.
The kids and Jeff and I had a great time climbing around all the rocks and walking through the water falls.
It is so pretty up there and it was totally worth the 40 minute drive to go there from Duluth.
Here we are on the Pride of Baltimore II. We only stood in line to go on this ship. The US Brig Niagara and Madeline were also there, but it was at least a 2 hour wait to go on both of those. We chose to go on 1 ship for only an hour wait. We were told the wait was worse on Friday and Saturday. We thought 2 hours was bad for a wait on Sunday and we were totally wrong. It was very cool and the kids liked looking at everything. They were totally fine not waiting for more than 2 hours to see the other 2 ships and do other things instead.

I love Duluth, we used to go there when we were little. I haven't been there in some time. You have inspired me to maybe take a trip.

Our family loved the Duluth vacation we had too. I recommend Betty's Pies and Jay Cooke State park for hiking in near by Cloquet.
