Our painter should have started painting the upper level today and is starting in the kids' bedrooms. Hopefully, I will be able to get good pictures to show off. The ceilings and closets are painted.
This is the arch in our kitchen and you can see the stairs to the upper level behind it. We are having a half wall under this arch where bar stools will sit behind to see into the kitchen. We decided to do this wall instead of having stools around the island in the kitchen.
We are also doing an open arch above the fireplace and this is the kitchen side. We went with Electric fireplaces in our house because they are lots cheaper, we don't have to vent them anywhere (it was an issue with all the windows), and because you can have the flames on without the heat. They look very realistic now and we are excited about them.
The cedar ceiling in the upper level of the turret and sitting room was finished 2 days ago. It looks really cool and this picture doesn't do it justice.
Here is the fireplace in the family room in the basement. We are having a flat screen TV above this fireplace because we kinda ran out of wall space anywhere else in this room. OOPS!The sheetrock in totally up on the main floor and the guys were taping it yesterday. I heard the other guy will be out at the house today putting up sheetrock in the basement to stay ahead of the tapers. Then we get to start getting colors for the main floor. We are almost there.

What a beautiful house! And an awesome location too! You guys did a great job on the design and layout (from what I can see) I can't wait to see it in person. I suppose you are getting anxious to move in! Oct. will be here before you know it. So, do you have one of those home shows booked for Nov. already? LOL The colors on the outside are very nice and I am sure you will do great on the inside as well. By the way-you look GREAT! Foxy Lady! The vaca photos are great-they made me take a 10 min. mini vaca in my mind, it helped! LOL- Anyway, I can't wait to see you again, life passes us by too quickly. I love the blog idea-so creative. Keep up the good work and Happy Building! Vicki
