It has been driving Isaac crazy when he rides his bike that his training wheels are slowing him down. We have tried several times to help him figure out the balance thing so he could ride without the training wheels, but he just could not do it quite yet.
Well, yesterday he was determined he was going to go without. He is using Declan's old bike so Jeff didn't have to take the training wheels off and then put them back on. We rode around the yard a couple times and he was balancing pretty good. So, we told him we were going to let go and away he went. He didn't go long distances at first, but it didn't take him long to get the hang of it.
We are so proud of him and he is so proud of himself!
Here he is practicing behind the school where there was plenty of blacktop. Last evening, he was able to ride all the way around Lake Alice. A friend and I have been walking from my house around the lake and back home for exercise and Declan and Isaac ride their bikes. For those who don't live in Fergus, Lake Alice is a small lake in the middle of town. He is so proud to be rid of those training wheels and we are taking them off his bike today after we watch the excavator dig the hole for our house. YIPPEE! What an exciting couple of days!!

WTG Isaac!!! Ethan practiced all winter in the house and he just can't get it yet, hopefully this summer!
